These terms apply when you use this website and when you stay with us. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If something here does not seem fair to you, tell us before you book.
Who you are dealing with
LynxHarbor Hospitality Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand, NZBN 9429048317206, trading as LynxHarbor at 148 Tamaki Drive, Mission Bay, Auckland 1071.
This website
We keep the information here as accurate as we can, but rates, opening hours and availability change. Nothing on this website is an offer that binds us on its own — a booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing.
The text and photographs on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for commercial use without asking.
Enquiries and bookings
Sending an enquiry does not reserve anything. It starts a conversation. We will reply with what is available and what it costs, and your booking is made when you accept that in writing and we confirm it.
Rates are quoted in NZD and include GST. We tell you the total before you commit. We do not add fees that we have not shown you.
Paying
We take a credit card to hold most bookings. When we charge it depends on the rate you chose, and we will say so clearly at the time. Some packages are paid in advance; standard rooms are usually settled on departure.
Changing or cancelling
Standard bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before your arrival date. After that, or if you do not arrive, we may charge the first night.
Packages and group bookings have their own terms, which we set out in writing when we confirm them.
If we ever have to cancel your booking — which is rare and usually means something has broken — you get a full refund, and we will help you find somewhere else.
Arriving and leaving
Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is until 11:00 AM. We will usually hold your bags either side of that. Ask about an early check-in or a late check-out and we will do what we can.
Staying with us
We ask guests to treat the hotel, our team and other guests with respect. We may ask someone to leave if their behaviour puts others at risk, and we may charge for damage beyond ordinary wear.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted indoors anywhere in the hotel.
Please tell us in advance about assistance animals so we can prepare properly.
The gaming lounge
Entry to our gaming lounge is limited to people aged 20 and over, and our staff may ask for photo identification. It is open in the evenings only.
Our team may refuse entry or ask you to leave, and they do not have to explain why. Please read our Host Responsibility page, which sets out how we look after guests there and how to exclude yourself if you want to.
Your information
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, and what this website stores on your device is set out in our Cookie Policy.
Where we stand on liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you are booking as a consumer, those rights apply no matter what any contract says, and we would not want it otherwise.
Beyond that, we are not liable for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for things outside our control such as weather, transport or utilities. Please use the in-room safe for valuables.
Complaints
Tell us at the time if you can — most problems are fixable while you are still here. If that is not possible, write to [email protected] and we will reply within ten working days.
Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your stay is the one published when you booked.
